 Dr. David Gerber has been practicing gynecology since 1997 and specializes in labiaplasty surgery (labia reduction surgery). He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia who specializes in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He designs unique treatment plans to help patients achieve their ideal cosmetic surgery results using traditional and modern techniques. From the initial consultation to follow-up, Dr Gerber offers specialized skills in surgical and nonsurgical aesthetic procedures.

He graduated from Medical School at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. In addition to his internship in Cape Town, he spent a year practicing internal medicine and obstetrics in Ciskei, South Africa (an underprivileged area). At the University of British Columbia, he studied Obstetrics and Gynecology. During his residency in Toronto, he trained as a specialist in Incontinence Surgery. In 2004, he earned a Master's degree in Health Sciences in Bioethics at the University of Toronto.

He practiced academic gynecology at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Science Centre in Toronto, specializing in minimally invasive surgery, colposcopy, and emergency gynecology.

Besides his expertise in minimally invasive clinic-based surgery, he has developed a successful micro-surgical technique for labia reduction surgery, as well as procedures for fibroids, heavy vaginal bleeding, vulva disease, and precancerous lesions of the vulva, vagina, and cervix (abnormal pap tests).
